Poll: Guess the selling price - One Pound .999 Silver Eagle

Remember the 10 Oz. Canadian Silver Maple Leaf that eventually sold for more than double spot?

What do you think a one troy pound SAE will go for?

Too bad these American ones do not have the appeal that the Maples have.

I really like the walking liberty design of the obverse. It's elegant and timeless. The eagle on the reverse, however, is nowhere as impressive as the eagle design of the original walking liberty half.

The U.S. mint needs to make these pounders in limited editions. These look nice but they're all private mint.

I put 5-10% over spot cause everytime I get outbid on one of these on Ebay thats how much they usually go for.

Are these still being produced by private mints? Wondering if they can be purchased directly?

Mine's a large 1/2-pounder made by the Washington Mint..........it's awesome to show to non-PM people.

"Oh, you invest in silver ?.....like bars and stuff ?"

Hold on.....how about this >> (showing 'em my 1/2 pound SE).

"Whoooooooooaaaaaaaaa.......that's a big coin." :elefant:

I guess $169 total. There's actually some deals out there if you just want generic rounds. I've been dumping Christmas rounds and other "artsy" stuff that isn't brand name and they're not even doing spot after shipping is added. That's why I like the recognized names!
